According to the Regulation respecting the conditions for carrying on brokerage activities, a broker representing one party must protect their client's interests while still treating the other party fairly.
As a tenant, you have two options:
a) Work directly with the owner's broker and receive fair treatment.
b) Work with your own broker, who will actively protect your interests.
If you choose option (b), it is recommended to have your broker present during the visit.
